Privacy Policy (English) Last updated: November 5, 2026 Effective date: November 5, 2026

PingTap (乒点) is provided by an individual developer. The app is free. It does not offer accounts or sign-in, and it does not collect your information for advertising or paid services.

Information we do not collect This app does not collect, upload, or share with third parties your name, phone number, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, or other personal identity information.

Match scores, setup settings, on-device match history, and any local Web-display bookmark token stay on your device and are not uploaded to the developer’s servers. This app does not operate a data-collection server.

Permissions • Camera: used only to scan the Control QR code for pairing. We do not save photos or upload images. • Local network: used only to sync scores on the same Wi‑Fi or Personal Hotspot, including: – sync between the Control app and the Display app; and – optionally, Control serving a read-only browser “Web display” page (HTTP/WebSocket) so another device on the same LAN can view the scoreboard in a system browser. Data stays between your devices and does not pass through the developer’s servers. The bookmark token in the Web display link is for local reconnection only and can be rotated in the app. • Speech: uses the system text-to-speech (TTS) engine locally to announce the score (in the app and, if enabled, in the browser page). Speech content is not uploaded over the internet. • Keep screen on (where applicable): the screen may stay awake while hosting or showing a live match for venue use; this does not send data off-device.

Third parties This app does not embed analytics, advertising, or social-login SDKs to collect personal information. System components (camera, TTS, OS networking, browser) are provided by the device OS and governed by the OS privacy policy.

Children This app is a match scoring tool. We do not collect personal information from children.
